Madame Guillotine

After doing some research into the Hotel Matignon, I stumbled across a blog titled 'Madame Guillotine',  which explored the issue of the doomed Princesse Joseph de Monaco.
Whist searching through the blog for quite some time, it dawned on me that the writer, Melanie Clegg, has in fact also wrote a book titled The Secret Diary of a Princess:  a novel of Marie Antoinette, about her early life and her transformation from a gawky Austrian princess to the fashionable, elegant Madame la Dauphine. Receiving a large number of positive reviews, I have purchased the kindle for Mac, and intend to give it a read.

Melanie Clegg also has a number of other novels out at the moment that look closely at Revolutionary France.
